Miranda Sampson
Miranda has enjoyed a diverse and dynamic career, starting with her studies in Arts Education at Tring and Musical Theatre in London. She has travelled the world, performing in dance and singing, and even portrayed Hawkwoman in Flash Gordon.
Over time, her artistic journey took an inspiring turn toward ceramics.
As a studio potter based in North Yorkshire, Miranda has immersed herself in a range of techniques, including coiling, throwing, altering forms, and experimenting with glazing, smoke firing, and raku decoration, skills honed at Harrogate College. This transition to ceramics represents a fulfilling and meditative shift, showcasing her commitment to embracing new creative challenges and developing an entirely new artistic practice. Her background in performing arts likely influences her pottery, with connections between the expressive movement of dance and her clay forms.
