Jacqueline Warrington
Jacqueline started her training as a jeweller at the age of 16 with a renowned jewellery designer. She then went on to study at both Bradford School of art and Sheffield Polytechnic where she learnt silversmithing as well as fine metalwork.
Since graduating in 1984 she has been at the bench, designing and making her own range of silverware and jewellery alongside working on private commissions.
Jacqueline has exhibited widely over the years in exhibitions and galleries such as Goldsmiths Fair, Goldsmith North, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Dazzle, Ropewalk and York Open Studios.
She works in gold, silver and precious stones and employs traditional techniques such as hand raising, forging and, in particular, chasing and Repousse.
Recently, Jacqueline has been developing her interest in flat chasing silver 'pictures' depicting aspects of myths, legends and stories of the saints. these are all made in fine silver with 24ct gold details using the Korean technique of Keum Boo.
